Link to the control management system

The rationale for this link is not the intention that GIS applications take over the function of control management. That would not be justified because the SCADA environment is created with this goal. The rationale for the link lies in the fact that among other data, SCADA data are essential for the operation of the module for loss management.

With such a link, we have enabled the technical information system to:

• calculate the “entry” of water into a particular DMA zone (part of the network, unit of supervision and control of losses),
• analyze pressures and possibly noise to help determine the position of the leak.

As we have stated, the functioning of this module is a prerequisite for the work of the module for water loss management.
